IT Compliance Associate | Full Time (Allen, TX)

Position Overview
Reviews and evaluates information technology compliance issues within the organization. The compliance associate ensures that the management of the company, and employees are in compliance with the rules and regulations, works to ensure that company policies and procedures are being followed, and that behavior in the organization meets the minimum company standards of conduct and disposition.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with design and implementation of all administrative processes and procedures in adherence to organization policy.
  • Ensures policies and procedures are well documented, makes revisions as necessary
  • Identify areas where technology processes need to be established or improved
  • Develop and execute compliance reviews to evaluate the effectiveness of general controls and operating processes
  • Document deficiencies, develop remediation plan and provide management responses
  • Analyze compliance requirements for various procedures and provide necessary training if required and design strategies to achieve all objectives
  • Assist with creation and operation of IT general controls, program processes, procedures and workflows
  • Assists with developing risk management strategies
  • Conduct industry research on emerging trends in risk and controls
  • Administer internal audit processes and ensure successful audit of firm
  • Respond to Security Questionnaires for potential and existing clients.
  • Prepare reports for governance and oversight
  • Works with upper levels of management to ensure strategies are in place
  • Manage all communication with various departments in an efficient manner
  • Participates in Business Impact Analysis and Disaster Recovery plans
  • Assist with design and implementation of all administrative processes and procedures in adherence to organization policy.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years in an IT Compliance, Information Security, Internal Audit or similar role supporting IT compliance efforts among other company compliance initiatives.
  • Understanding of general IT controls and the ability to analyze data and interpret results
  • Ability to drive results with minimal oversight
  • Strong project management skills understanding assignments, tracking/monitoring progress, and reporting on status
  • Effective time management and ability to prioritize
  • Familiarity with industry frameworks and standards, such as NIST CSF, COBIT5/2019, SOX, ISO 27001/27002, COSO, ITIL, FFIEC, FAIR, SSAE18
  • Strong people skills including the ability to interact with employees at all levels
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical - Synthesizes complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data
  • Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; works well in group problem solving situations.
  • Teamwork - Balances team and individual responsibilities; gives and welcomes feedback; contributes to building a positive team spirit
  • May deal with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgment

Other:

  • Some work outside normal business hours and some weekends required.
  • Training will be provided for this position.
