Our Purpose

At TriTech, we believe in the power of prayer to bring people together, inspire hope, and foster positive change in our communities and nation. The National Day of Prayer aligns with our values of faith, prayer, and family, encouraging us to seek wisdom and guidance in all areas of life. By hosting this event and inviting others to join us, we aim to create a space for reflection and collaboration, recognizing the importance of faith in shaping a brighter future.

History of National Day of Prayer

The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance in the United States that invites people of all faiths to pray for the nation. It was established by Congress in 1952 and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman, with the purpose of fostering unity and seeking divine guidance for the country. In 1988, President Ronald Reagan designated the first Thursday of May as its official date.

Rooted in the nation’s history of leaders calling for days of prayer during times of crisis, its purpose is to encourage Americans to pray for the government, military, education, media, businesses, families, and churches. It serves as a reminder of the country’s spiritual heritage and the power of collective prayer in shaping its future.
