Creating a Test Company

You may create a test company for your own purposes, such as to test your tax liability under different scenarios. After pressing the Create button, a copy of the original company displayed in the company dropdown box will be made.

This company will have the following characteristics:

• The company name, address, and FEIN will populate with the same information as the company in the drop down.
• The original company name will have the word (TEST) appended to the end of it.
• All products accessible for the original company will be available.
• All returns and forms will bear the watermark: FOR TEST ONLY

Checking the box labeled "Copy Data from Current Company to New Test Company" will make an exact copy of the original company (excepting the watermark and the company name). All activated returns and data entry will be included on the new test company.

You may delete a test company at any time by selecting the test company from the company selection drop down menu and then utilizing the Delete Test Company option from the Tools menu.
