Data File Import

You also have the option to import your company data file from the legacy Premium Pro desktop software into Enterprise. This will allow you to migrate to the new system while maintaining your prior year data. All data will be imported as an override to ensure that the filings match the returns in the legacy desktop system. The returns and schedules will also be locked by default. You may unlock any return or schedule and remove any override as necessary.

The following are steps to import a data file:

  1. From the appropriate drop-down box, select the company that you wish to import information into.
  2. Go to the File menu and select Import.
  3. Choose Life/PC Data File.
  4. You will be given the option to import your Annual returns, Estimate returns, or both. Make your selection by checking the appropriate box(es).
  5. Click Browse and locate the data file you wish to import; click Open.
  6. Click Import.

Please note that Data File Import is only available for the 2007-2008 and 2008-2009 product years for the Premium Tax product.

For Municipal, it is only offered for 2006-2007 Municipal and 2007-2008 Municipal. The general information form, input schedule, returns, payment requests, and summary schedules will be populated with data from the desktop data file. The steps are the same as above, but step 4 is skipped.
