Florida - Efile

You may electronically file the estimate and annual returns for Florida via TriTech in lieu of using the state’s online system. To complete the electronic filing process for Florida, please follow the steps outlined in the Efiling help topic. Fill out the return completely, with all company, premium, and other required information, just as you would a paper return. After selecting to electronically file your return, the software will prompt you to attach any supporting documents to the filing prior to submission. Multiple files may be included with the electronic filing. Only the return data and the attachments you select during the e-file process will be transmitted. PDF copies of the returns and supporting schedules/worksheets in the software will NOT be transmitted per the state’s e-file specifications.

Attachments:

Florida only accepts PDF files as attachments. You must print or save your supporting documents as PDF files prior to filing. You may use the PDF>Attach to... feature to save any documentation contained within the software to the Attachment Frame for Florida. It is not necessary to attach a PDF of the return to the filing. You will be prompted to upload any required documents based on the criteria established by the state. A listing of possible attachments is as follows:

  • Florida State Business Page
  • Reconciliation Worksheet if Taxable Premiums do not equal Schedule T
  • Gross Bail Bond Premiums
  • DFS Carrier and Self Ins Fund Qtrly Report
  • FLAHIGA Certificates (Invoices) and copies of checks
  • FLAHIGA Certificates of Contribution
  • F-1120 (page 1 only)
  • Breakdown of corporate tax allocation to affiliates with names and FEINs
  • UCT-6 for 1st Quarter
  • UCT-6 for 2nd Quarter
  • UCT-6 for 3rd Quarter
  • UCT-6 for 4th Quarter
  • UCS-71 for 1st Quarter
  • UCS-71 for 2nd Quarter
  • UCS-71 for 3rd Quarter
  • UCS-71 for 4th Quarter
  • Breakdown of Salary Allocations for Services Companies
  • Calculation of salary credit cap for affiliated group
  • Salary Allocation for Licensed Managing General Agent
  • Schedule of computation for Transfer of Enterprise Zone Excess Salary Credit
  • Certificate of Contribution for each Non-profit Scholarship Funding
  • CAPCO Certification

Once all documents have been attached, click submit.  You should then see a message stating that the file transfer is complete. Soon after, an email confirming receipt of the file will be sent to the contact email address provided on the return.

A hard copy of the return is not required.

Please note that Florida will generate an acknowledgement for all returns received. The acknowledgements are available within two business days after a successful transmission. If the form is accepted, you will receive an acceptance acknowledgement and the filing will be reviewed and processed. If it is rejected, you will be notified and rejections other than duplicate filings may be corrected and retransmitted.
