Legal | Intern (Allen, TX)

Position Overview

We are looking for a dynamic, energetic intern who is eager to learn about our company. You will be working closely with our legal team to conduct research surrounding a variety of legal topics, and execute a variety of legal contract negotiations, and communications tasks.

To be successful as an Intern, you should be willing to help with any tasks assigned, show initiative to learn and apply what you have learned, and a desire to contribute creatively and organizationally to the legal team. You will be involved in a variety of upcoming and ongoing projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • 20 hours per week. Intent to go to law school after undergrad or is looking to become a paralegal.
  • Strong multi-tasking ability.
  • Superior time management skills with ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively communicate cross-functionally with co-workers, leadership, vendors, and clients.
  • Periodically handle confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgement.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Provide support to managers and other personnel
  • Be involved in the discussion surrounding a variety of legal topics that relate to the business and the product/services provided
  • Learn to and assist with the review and negotiation of contracts for various clients
  • Promote legal compliance and risk management best practices throughout the company
  • Liaising with various members of staff and clients
  • Ensures contract alterations are well documented, filed and within company compliance standards
  • Perform contact audits to ensure compliance with company standards
  • Assist with the creation and management of client product accounts in accordance with client provided files to ensure client accounts are compliant
  • Assist with communication involving various department and clients to ensure that clients are provided with timely and accurate information
