HR Generalist Full Time (Allen, TX)
Position Overview
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR- related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior management. This position performs responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefit administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment and employment law compliance.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Coordinates job board/social media postings, and represents the company at job fairs and with external recruiters.
- Conducts background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Performs new employee orientations.
- Helps payroll with semi-monthly timecard reviews.
- Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
- Monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.
- Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports.
- Implements recognition programs.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, and communicating benefit information to employees.
- Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required, or Equivalent Experience.
- At least one year of human resource experience preferred.
- SHRM-CP a plus.
